On 3 May 2024, a group of students from National Public School Indiranagar and NAFL were taken on a special tour to the Padukone Dravid Centre of Sports Excellence. Our Vice Chairperson Dr. Bindu Hari accompanied the students.

The students began with a tour of the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA) and got to meet the badminton legend PV Sindhu. The students explored the indoor basketball court managed by Ms Akansha Singh, a former captain of the Indian women's basketball team, the cricket training centre “Six” managed by Mr Rahul Dravid and the Abhinav Bindra Training Academy for Shooting. The visit to The Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance (ABTP) Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre highlighted the importance of fitness and the need for injury prevention.

The trip was a great hands-on learning experience for the students.

They enjoyed their tour which not only helped them understand the nuances related to various sports but also helped them understand how discipline, hard work and dedication are the core values which help to achieve success.
