1M1B's Future Leaders Program

Students from National Public School, Indiranagar have been part of 1M1B's Future Leaders Program for three years. Our 2022-23 1M1B Future Leaders include Agastya Palangala, Ashmita Gupta, Mitravinda Vivek, Ananya Malde, and Aryen Singhal. The aforementioned are level three students who, despite the pandemic years, have been productively and continuously working on their projects.

At the 1M1B conference that was conducted in United Nations, New York on December 10-14, 2022, Agastya Palangala, Ananya Malde and Aryen Singhal received the chance to present their projects to a global audience about the remarkable influence they have had on various communities. Along with them, our 2019–20 alumni, Dishita Swaika and Adarsh Menon also attended the four day summit in New York.

The summit mandated that the students attend a workshop by Elizabeth Saunders on the Art of Pitching and engage in rigorous mentorship sessions by their mentors in New York. Before pitching their proposals to the UN, they first presented them to a panel of judges at the "Future Leaders Finals." The attendees were given a guided tour on the day of the summit, and plans were made for them to see the UN General Assembly and Security Council as well.

At the mixer event held at Wells Fargo, which was attended by some of New York's top businesspeople, the students had to once again present their proposals. For their work, the participants were judged and given star ratings. The "New York's Favourite" award was given to Ananya Malde, a grade 10 student, for delivering the finest pitch at the mixer.

It was an "incredible and once in a lifetime opportunity" for the students to develop into the outstanding young leaders they are now.
