Sanskrit is a divine language that personifies India’s rich cultural heritage. It holds much knowledge about our society and the universe. Many world languages have been influenced by this versatile and incredible language. On 18 August 2021, Sanskrit Diwas was celebrated virtually on MS Teams by National Public School, Indiranagar, Bengaluru.

The programme started with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation song, followed by a speech highlighting interesting facts about Sanskrit. Students recited Sanskrit shlokas with great reverence and presented solo and group dance performances. Students of grade 9 presented an innovative animated segment titled ‘Sanskrit at a glance’. The concluding message of this special assembly was a reflection of Indian culture वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् . This recorded celebration put together by the teachers and students of the Sanskrit department was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all.

We are proud that students of NPS INR are enthusiastic about learning and celebrating this ancient Indian language even in the twenty-first century. We pay our gratitude to Maharshi Panini who made Sanskrit a highly developed and powerful mode of expression in which scientific ideas could be expressed with great precision and clarity.
