Onam – Harvesting Joy And Goodness
13 September 2024 saw the school buzzing as it was time for Onam celebrations!
The children walked in excitedly in their ethnic wear, some even in the customary cream and gold attire. They were given a glimpse of the culture of Kerala, where this festival is celebrated in all pomp and grandeur. The children watched the ever-popular tale of Mahabali and understood the significance of this celebration.
They had a hands-on experience of designing a pookalam in their classrooms with the flowers that they had brought from home.
Cheers of ‘Onashamsakal’ filled the air as they went home bearing a gift of banana chips that is so loved not only in the state of Kerala but all over the country!
