The children in the Montessori at National Public School, Indiranagar, eagerly awaited the arrival of Independence day celebration as they were involved in a multitude of activities, as a run up to the big day. They learnt to identify our national flag. Many interesting facts about India were taught to the children. They also prepared for a formal quiz session – where our juniors were the esteemed quizmasters! This provided them an opportunity to delve into the nuances of conducting a quiz show.

On the day of the celebration, it was wonderful to see the children walk in excitedly dressed in the flag's colours and several of them in Indian attire. All the classes sat together in the quadrangle to partake in their snacks. It was a delight to see the tricolour snacks in their boxes. The quiz event was filled with energy and enthusiasm. Patriotic songs and rhymes were sung with full gusto and slogans like ‘Jai Hind’ reverberated in the air! The celebration by these little patriots raised spirits and was indeed a treat for all the senses!
