KG Independence Day 2019

The 73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated by the students of Kindergarten. The students came dressed in tricolours. Patriotic songs were played as the students came into school. The building was decorated with the craft made by students for Independence Day and a rangoli was made using tricoloured flowers on the map of India. In an attempt to showcase the diversity between the cultures and unity amongst the religions of India, the students of KG 2 A put up an assembly on the freedom struggle of India in the pre-independence era pertaining to the Independence Day theme on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. The ill-treatment by the British against the high-spirited response and relentless effort by our freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was showcased with a well-executed combination of music, movement and dialogue. The symbolism of Mother India combined with the personification of each religion further strengthened the impact of the skit. The visual learning was a treat to watch and would leave a long lasting impact on the audience.
