“Leadership cannot be taught, it can only be learnt. Leadership is unlocking people’s potential to become better.”

This quote marked the beginning of events for this calendar year on Friday, 14 June 2019 at NPS, Indiranagar, with the Investiture Ceremony. This much awaited event recognises talent and leadership qualities and honours exemplary behaviour of the students who have been elected into the Student Council.

The morning assembly began with the prayer, followed by our Principal Ms Shantha Chandran conferring the sashes and flags to the newly elected representatives of the Student Council. The office bearers were also announced for an array of associations and they were felicitated by the Coordinators.

The School Prefect Raghav Muthukumar addressed the school and he proudly claimed that “being an NPS-ite meant to be a winner”. He spoke about how students should make use of the opportunities in the school and take responsibility for their actions. He concluded by saying that one should accept the rules of the school as part of their school life.

The crowd cheered for their Prefect as he finished his first speech, clearly showing their support for their new leader. The event concluded with the School Song.
