On 29 June 2019, an Orientation Programme was held in NPS Indiranagar for the parents and students of Class 6. The coordinator of middle school introduced all the teachers of Class 6 for the academic year 2019-20.

Middle schoolers have very different needs when compared to primary students or high schoolers. This programme helped to familiarize the parents and students with the changes to be expected in middle school. Brief presentations were made about the structure of assessments and examinations. The various areas of assessments - both scholastic and non-scholastic were also covered. Invaluable pointers regarding pertinent issues like finding balance between technology and studies were shared. The importance of developing positive attitudes and beliefs about themselves as learners to increase their academic perseverance was also emphasized.

The Orientation Programme intended to make the transition from primary school to middle school easier was greatly appreciated by the parents.
