‘With languages, you are at home anywhere' - with this profound quote in mind, NPS Indiranagar conducted its literary festival, ‘Esperanza - A celebration of words’, on Saturday, 22 January 2022.

The show was split into two halves, with the first half being a webinar comprising events from each of the four languages - English, Hindi, Sanskrit and French. The parents were then directed to join any one of the eight language meetings initiated as part of the second phase of the event. Each of these meetings was dedicated to a specific language and showcased the complexity and brilliance of the human tongue. While the English meeting consisted of talented students displaying their original works of poetry and masquerade, Hindi invoked nostalgia and patriotism by utilising beautiful artwork. Moral and ethical values were deeply embedded in the Sanskrit segment, the focus of which was the Vedic culture. The French session took it from national to international and exposed the audience to the intricacies of one of the world’s most beautiful languages.

This show was the result of the hard work and perseverance of approximately 360 students across Grades 9 to 11.

The parents were able to enjoy each of these sessions by hopping across shows and absorbing valuable lessons on the power of the pen in the process. Parent participation in the quizzes organised for them in every show ensured that they thoroughly enjoyed the event.
