The first day of school holds a very special place in our lives, both as a student and as a parent. The exhilaration of starting off something new, coupled with apprehensions of how things will go, fills the day with excitement, enthusiasm and a little bit of nervousness.

The students of KG1 started school on 9th June 22 and KG2 on 16th June 22 with mixed emotions. With the school reopening post the lockdown, the buzz of students gearing up for the year was a welcoming sight. The first day included activities involving music, movement and a flurry of games. It was a bittersweet experience for most of our young learners as they started off classes away from home; the experience of being back in a class community setup however brought back their joy. The 8th of June 2022 was a memorable day for the Montessori family at NPS INR as they welcomed the Montessori Freshers. The once empty school campus was lively and vibrant once again. It was an endearing sight as parents walked into school with little ones brimming with excitement to start on-campus school. The Montessori feature of ‘mixed age group’ worked as a buffer in supporting and assisting with the settling down process. The welcome boards displayed ‘buddy groups’ which were created to set a theme of togetherness and joy. The children placed their mark on the learning wall by means of a hand print, thus marking their onset of a new journey.
