Guiding Students Towards Informed Choices

From 30th July to 2nd August 2025, National Public School, Indiranagar, hosted Compass, a four-day event aimed at helping Grade 10 students make well-informed decisions about academic streams, higher education, and career pathways. The programme began with insightful sessions by senior school teachers, who outlined the academic experience and opportunities available in the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams at NPS Indiranagar. On the following day, students from Grades 11 and 12 shared candid accounts of their journeys, discussing the advantages and challenges of their chosen fields. These interactions, followed by an open question-and-answer session, offered the younger students a first-hand perspective.

The event culminated on Saturday, 2nd August, with sessions led by distinguished guests from DRDO, HAL, and ISRO, as well as accomplished alumni and mentor parents. Classrooms were designated for different career areas, allowing participants to engage in focused discussions and receive guidance tailored to specific interests.

Running alongside was the University Fair 2025, featuring 13 renowned institutions, including Ashoka University, Atlas University, Azim Premji University, FLAME University, GD Goenka University, Krea University, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, O.P. Jindal University, Plaksha University, RV University, Shiv Nadar University, Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, and Vidyashilp University. Representatives shared details of their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, co-curricular opportunities, and admission processes, ensuring that students and parents gained a comprehensive understanding of the options available.

Together, Compass and the University Fair provided Grade 10 students with clarity, inspiration, and a valuable head start in planning their academic and professional futures.
