This year the students of the Kindergarten section of National Public School, Indiranagar, enjoyed a double celebration of Diwali and Children’s Day on Friday, 10th November 2023. Their entry into the school gate was marked by a flow of their all-time favourite soap bubbles blown extensively by their equally enthusiastic teachers. Their mix-and-match attire coupled with a funky hairdo created by their parents gave an additional boost to the excited chatter as each one admired the other in awe. The magic in their little fingers was showcased with the painting and decoration of the diyas which they proudly carried back home to celebrate the festival of lights with the story of Diwali to narrate to their parents. Happiness adorned their faces and the little eyes twinkled as their teachers painted tattoos of choice for every child. Games, being an integral part of children’s lives, were organised in plenty. The mantra of sharing is caring was exhibited thoroughly during the snack time when students excitedly shared their yummy goodies with each other. An end to a day of fun, excitement and cheer was marked with the little ones taking home a plant, pledging a greener tomorrow.
