On 18 November 2023, National Public School, Indiranagar conducted ‘Digital Dreams’, the Computer Science academic event for Grade 10, which gave the students an opportunity to showcase their digital creativity and technological skills. This event was an expression of the project-based learning methodology espoused by our school and focused on the application of classroom learning to real-world challenges and problems.

The run-up for the event started months ago. The students were divided into groups and each group was asked to create an app, game, or website from scratch, on any topic of their choice. What followed was a series of brainstorming sessions, serious discussions and months of consistent efforts and hard work by the students. They were supported and guided in their endeavour by our faculty members. The end result of their efforts was remarkable. Our students came up with brilliant projects, ranging from a website that helps you pick out songs to match your mood, games that assist you with your academics to an app that helps you plan a trip!

The event was attended by the parents of our Grade 10 students who witnessed the digital dreams created by their wards come alive! The guests perused the exciting projects created by different groups and enjoyed the interactive presentations given by our young coders and creators.

One of the most important takeaways from this event was that the students realised that their digital dreams are just a step away from reality. ‘Digital Dreams’ left an indelible mark on both participants and spectators, inspiring a continued passion for technology and creativity among the young minds involved.
