KG Republic Day Celebrations

The 72nd Republic day, was a virtual celebration by the Kindergarten students of National Public School, Indiranagar, which portrayed unity in diversity, thus titled ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’. Students took pride in representing their state, showcasing its costume, culture and cuisine. On January 25, the celebration commenced with the significance of Republic day being narrated to students, followed by some spectacular student performances. Students began with introducing themselves in their mother tongue and shared few state specific facts. This was followed by some extravagant performances portraying dance forms like Bharat Natyam, Olata, Dandia, Garba, and Kaikottikali. The famous theatre form Yakshagana, creation of Pookalam and colourful rangolis, songs sung in mother tongue, narration of slokas and an array of dances on peppy numbers in different languages were absolutely mesmerizing. The diversity of India was showcased with confidence and pride amidst an air of unity and camaraderie. The day culminated with a snack party and everyone virtually shared and relished the traditional snack items.
