Vivum, the annual fest hosted by TISB, consisted of a plethora of events ranging from sports to cultural. One of the largest inter- school fests in Bangalore, Vivum –'15 hosted 30 schools, each seeking to win the coveted trophy. The students of NPS Indiranagar shone yet again with over 500 students competing in various events, winning accolades, and more importantly, gaining invaluable experience and exposure.
This year saw our students taking part in a large number of sports events, with new teams such as the promising hockey team entering the arena. Students got an opportunity to compete with international players from different parts of the country, and walked away with the top positions in a number of events. The invincible Badminton boy's team finished first, with Akash Raj Murthy being awarded the title of the Most Valuable Player, while the badminton girls 'B' team finished second. In Volleyball, our school had a clean sweep, with the 'A' and 'B' team coming second and first respectively. Sahil Bava Teekay was conferred the title Most Valuable player, and in girls Table Tennis, this title went to Shirin. The Throwball team won second place, a fest achieved after months or rigorous training.
At the culmination of the fest, having won the first place in six sports events and coming runners up in three, coupled with victories in cultural events, NPS-Indiranagar was crowned winner of Vivum 2015, and awarded the rolling trophy .
All the sports teams have improved by leaps and bounds as a consequence of regular practise and the experience gained in the inter house sports events held in school,s and our students certainly have a bright future in the realm of sports .
