The trip to the post office with our tiny tots of Class 1is an experience which never fails to bring a smile to our lips! The excitement of the kids was palpable as we guided them on their 7 minute walk across an adventurous terrain, that is, the foot path. As we reached the entrance of the post office, every kid strained to get a glimpse of the unexplored area. As we took them towards the back office entrance, the sight of a postman loading his cycle was so 'awesome' that everyone started screaming ‘Postman uncle! Postman uncle!’ Walking through the sorting room, the multitude of letters stacked brought so many questions out that the postmen answered each and every one. Interestingly, one postman who we all addressed as postman 'kaaka' was also the NPS postman. He had been delivering every letter to our school himself since we could last remember. The kids and the post office officials enjoyed talking to each other, but unfortunately, we had to end their fun due to our time constraints. The only regret we had when we left was that we hadn't gotten a chance to post a letter through them that day.
