QUIZ is an inter school quiz competition for teachers hosted every year by National Hill View Public School, Rajarajeshwarinagar. QUIZ 2013 saw the participation of about 230 teachers from 40 schools. The quiz began with a written preliminary round conducted by quizmaster "Pickbrain" Giri Balasubramaniam. We were thrilled when our team was among the six teams who had qualified for the final round on stage. After several grueling rounds and a nail biting finish, to our great delight, we emerged victorious. It was indeed a great honour to bring the prestigious QUIZ 2013 trophy to NPS, Indiranagar.
National Public School, Indiranagar - A great centre of learning! Excellent scope for broadening one's horizon - be it at the state level, national level or international level. I am experiencing the joy of teaching - To teach is to touch lives.Ms. Roopa Ravindran, Member of Faculty, Department of History
In the past 25 years I have been with the students of Class 2 and 3. It has been a wonderful journey throughout. The apt words to describe my experiences would be exciting, interesting, joyous and beautiful. Every morning I look forward to the sweet, innocent faces that greet me. I hope this journey continues for a very long time.Ms. Mary Christy, Class Teacher of Class 3
I consider it my privilege to have been working with the young, enthusiastic and inquisitive teenagers of Class 9 to 12 at National Public School, Indiranagar.
In addition to the prescribed text books, the English class activities vary from vocabulary expansion games and newspaper reading to discussions, debates and PowerPoint presentations on various topics of concern to the youth. Every single English class provides a unique experience to my students as well as to me and thus rules out monotony. What makes the language class interesting depends largely on the wholehearted participation of the students. Students are able to hone their language skills, exercise their creative talents and gain self-confidence and eloquence. I have faced a lot of challenges to keep myself abreast of my students with updates on current issues and the latest book release. My students indeed help me to remain young at heart always.Ms. Sarala Dhanraj, Member of Faculty, Department of English
I have been teaching in the Montessori department for 18 years and each year is more fruitful and satisfying. Meeting a lively bunch of 3 to 6 year olds every morning makes each moment bright. Little children are refreshingly honest and enchantingly innocent and teaching them has in return taught me a lot.Ms. Binita N Suvarna, Member of Faculty, Montessori Section
I have been teaching the kindergarten children for the past 31 years and it's been a wonderful experience for me all the while.
Their love and affection has always encouraged me to return back every year with joy and enthusiasm. Over the last six years, my interaction with class 11 and class 12 students in NPS, Indiranagar, has been a learning experience. I have grown as a person, I am more patient and understanding and I have learned the art of listening. The most amazing thing about being with teenagers is that they keep you mentally agile and young.Ms. Shefali Tyagi, Member of Faculty, Department of Commerce
