National Public School, Indiranagar, organised “Ragasudha”, a musical programme, on 3 February 2024.

The Programme brought out the essence of Carnatic music and celebrated the contribution of Saint Purandara Dasa and Saint Tyagaraja through a group recital that showcased the talents of the young artistes of the school.

Our Dean, Dr. (Mrs.) Santhamma Gopalkrishna graced the occasion with her presence. The event was also attended by our ever-encouraging Mentor Principal, Ms Shantha Chandran.

Our Principal, Ms Shweta Pathak Chand, welcomed the gathering and remarked that the show aimed at preserving and promoting the culture and tradition of Indian Classical Music.

The students began the recital with a Pillari geetam – ‘Shri Gananatha’ composed by Shri Purandara Dasa, followed by the devaranamas, kritis of Shri Tyagaraja and concluded the concert by singing the Pancharatna kriti ‘Endaro Mahanubhavulu’.

Every segment of the concert mesmerised the audience, which comprised parents, grandparents and well-wishers of the performers.

The elaborate arrangements made by the school ensured a perfect ambience for an evening filled with divine classical music.
