The students of Grade 9 at NPS Indiranagar rang in the New Year with their engaging and stimulating academic event, Mindswrite, where they showcased their academic writing papers on the topics of their choice. The maiden event, which took place on January 6, 2024, was the result of months of diligent labour, commitment, and research that began at the start of academic year 2023-24.

Initially, the students were divided into groups and were trained in the different aspects of academic writing in workshops conducted by our faculty members. They were then required to conduct individual research on the subjects they had chosen from a list of options that included topics ranging from the necessity of homework to the effects of social media on teenagers. The next step involved our pupils working diligently for hours on end, researching their subjects, incorporating their teachers' feedback, and polishing their work.

On the day of the event, the students of Grade 9 began by outlining the requirements and significance of academic writing to the audience which comprised their parents. They designed and conducted a variety of engaging activities to make the session interactive. To provide parents with a clear understanding of their wards' efforts, the students’ papers were also on exhibit.

The parents praised the students' efforts and appreciated the school for exposing their children to academic writing since it will be useful in the future.
