It is a formal meeting between the teachers and parents which is held in the beginning of every academic year. It acts as a guideline for the parents to understand what a kindergarten child needs to do in school.
Children are taken on field trips to various places as an educational tour. It helps the children to understand and gain more knowledge about the concepts taught in class. They are taken to the HAL museum, aquarium, nursery etc.
Each child is given an opportunity to participate in a theme based class presentation to build up their confidence. It includes singing, dancing and narrating.
India being a country rich in culture, we take the initiative of exposing the children to different festivals of India. They get hands-on experience to make Pukalam. Craft activities are held for Diwali, Rakhsha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturti. Example- they get to decorate diyas, lanterns, rakhi etc. To bring in the festive spirit of Christmas, carols are taught. Santa comes in bringing joy and happiness and the children exchange gifts with their friends. The spirit of patriotism is carried forward as we teach them patriotic songs for Independence Day and Republic Day.
Children take part in one of the following functions for the parents every year:-
a) Concert- theme based.
b) Sports day – March past, display and events.
c) Musical- Christmas carols and school songs.
d) Talent show- singing, dancing, storytelling and fancy dress.
All the children participate in the above programmes. These programmes help the children to develop self-confidence. Each child is given a token of appreciation for their participation.
The children are taken on picnics to various places. It's a fulfilled day out with organised games, dance and food.
End of the academic session, a class party is organised for the children. Children look forward to this day, as they all come in coloured clothes and the enthusiastically participate in fun games, music time and enjoy dance too. They also have lots of fun sharing snacks with their friends.
