A visit to the chocolatier is not something one does everyday. So, when a trip to ‘Jus Truffs’, Jakkur was planned, it created a lot of excitement and anticipation.
The field trip began with the group being split into two. One group was taken to the ‘shop floor’, while the other taken to the terrace. The latter saw the components that go into the making of chocolate. They saw which parts of the world cocoa are grown and then a video on chocolate making.
The other group on the shop floor actually had a ‘hands on’ experience working with chocolate and making their own chocolate lollipop, which of course was great fun along with being creative. The groups then exchanged places.
All in all, a happy bunch of five year olds came back to school all ready to consume the chocolates they had created themselves.
